Norton

My parents have norton Anti-Virus on their desktop(not a free trial) and they want me to restore the comp.(to factory settings). After i "redo" the comp, how do i get Norton back on? would i just re-download? . I can't find anything useful on their site. i cant find where i can re-download a product. any help will be appreciated

Well it's one of two things:

1. It came preinstalled on the computer, in which case the backup CD provided by the PC company would have it in the restore disc

2. They bought Norton and you just need to put in the CD.

Unless you are installing XP from scratch and not using the factory specialized OS that's usually provided...

There must be either the recovery CD that has Norton intergrated or there must be a CD liying somewhere.

sorry fo not telling u guys, they bought and downloaded it online. i cant remember if it came with it on it or not. i dont want to find out the hard way though.

yea, i just figured it out. thnx for trying to help me out just pluged the old activation key in after the restore.
