maybe its because i have an FX5200, but i can't get a temp readout, (i probably just don't know where to go)

Hmm, yeah I guess it depends on the card. It may only be a feature on the high end cards with that support. I checked my slot layout in my PC and I can't install the fan. Had to go to Newegg and cancel the order. Good thing it hasn't gone through yet, especially with how fast they work. My video card is already sandwiched between my sound card. No room for the nice fan you pointed out. Man, wish I had one. No way to make room for it. Too many cards, and those PCIe slots are useless except for the graphics card. I have one of the exhaust blower using one of the PCIe slots. I should move that blower down where the sound card is but the sound card won't fit in the PCIe slot which is a waste of space. Now I regret getting PCIe.
