EDIT: SORRY GUYS IVE SOLVED IT NOW LOL

ok guys my first sort of attempt at a hyalf decent build.

i got this motherboard for my mate.

not i understand SLI ish ...... but i dont have any idea what that chip thing is thats in between the 2 PCIx16 slots, its got a sticker on it saying single^ dual down.

but it has pins showing on the bottom of it and i really have no idea what its for,


Edit....... jus answered my own question lol. i thought it ment insert the single card in the blue slot and the second in the black as thats where its facing ....
turns out i actually have to take that out and turn it around lol.

so what does it do. i have never seen this before

Tells the motherboard whether it should run the single slot at 16x and disable the second slot (for single card) or if it should run at 8x for each slot to run SLI. Must be an older board, my Asus A8N-SLI had that too.
