The 4870x2 is amazing. You're going to need quite a bit of power to run it. I'm pretty sure you won't be needing two i7 chips. You'll understand once you see the power of those babies. Dual processors boards aren't out for everyday use, for the i7. You can buy a server board.

A server board is meant for servers. They can be pretty expensive and can use a lot more hardware than a regular board. I'm not even sure if any dual i7 boards are out yet.
