noob problem

hey guys, noob coming back.
i have a problem, i cannot format my hd
i tried everything but everytime i format it it always freezes,
the farthest ive gotten was 73 percent and then it just freezes
any ideas?
i do the fdisk process then i format btw

Do you get any errors? Can you go through the process of what your doing aswell?

Try formatting with your OS disk (Windows / Linux / whatever).

well i havnt gotten any errors but i heres the process

first after i put in the windows cd
i go to the one with support
then while in a drive i type in fdisk
install a primary whatever
restart
same process except instea of fdisking, iwould format c:
then it would freeze at a percent

ive never ran across this problem ever before
