Default No video card on my computer, help!

So I am upgrading my video card but I don't see a video card. I just see that the output for the monitor is connected to the output for the sound and stuff like that. Can I just get a new one and install it on a vacant PCI slot and use that Output to connect my monitor?

Your computer has an onboard video chip. The brown slot in your pics looks to be an AGP slot for a video card. What make and model number is your computer?

According to the specs on Compaq's support site, your motherboard does have one AGP slot available. It is the brown slot in your pic.
