Default no showing anything

i have a amd k6 with 256mb of ram 40gig hd and a 110w psu the problem is that it isnt showing any picture and it used to work fine what is the problem

yeah it turns on no beep codes the keyboard lights up like numlock and stuff

Is your monitor on? if it is a notebook try this:

press and hold the FNC (function) key on your keyboard
scan the F keys at the top for a picture of a moniter (or something. usually F4 or F5)

press that key until the monitor turns on.


If that doesn't work, try booting in safe mode. You may (or a virus may) have accidentally (or in the case of a virus, purposely) disabled your video card drivers. You will somehow need to reinstall these if this is the case.

its not a note book and the screens ive used are all good

Have you checked your cables at the back the one that links your PC to your monitor, can you get into safe mode and see if your video card drivers are not corrupt/damaged?.
