Default no DVI signal?

I have both VGA and DVI inputs on my graphics card and connect both of those cables to their respective slots on the card and my monitor but I only get the analog signal no matter what. Both VGA and DVI cables are properly connected from my syncmaster 226bw and my nvidia 6600gt and i only get the analog signal any ideas?

I could be wrong but I don't think you are supposed to have them both plugged in at the same time. Just try one at a time and see what it does.

Try looking in the settings for your graphics card, you might have to set the output to DVI. It's either that, or the card is displaying a resolution that your monitor can't handle.

I Have had a similar problem with my 8600GT,My Monitor sometimes wouldnt display on start up,i would notice that the DVI Cable was loose on my graphics card,i would tighten it but still it would not display until i restarted it.
