So I'm just woundering. I'm sure u guys heard this enough but are you a nVidia or a ati kind of guy (or girl)

Use the forum's search feature and you'll find TONS of threads going over this, many with polls.

uh.. it supports motherboards better?... if you mean the drivers are better, you're a bit off the mark. i dunno, i hafta wait for the r600 and 8 series from ati and nvidia, they're taking different approaches in architecture with dx10 so we'll see then who truly reigns supreme in the gpu industry. ati's recent merge with AMD may give them an edge however.

I chose IDC because I am in both camps. Nvidia and ATI makes good cards. All you would need to find is the best buck bang.

In ATI, a X1700-X1900 is really good.
In Nvidia, a 7600GT or better is good.
