Default nForce 430

What are your thoughts on using a board with this chipset for a low-mid gaming system. Should I spend the extra money to get an AMD chipset or no?

Default Re: nForce 430

Ironically, I happen to be sending in a Gigabyte nforce 430-based AM2 motherboard for an RMA. I suspect it's a rather unusual problem, but in staggered intervals, my DIMM 1 and finally PCI-express slot failed. Good while it lasted though. The only thing I can think that's possibly bad about the board is that the Northbridge/MCP tends to run toasty, so either get a good board with a proper heatsink, or buy an aftermarket one.
