am2 supports ddr2.

but maybe companies are gonna make ddr3 with 240 pins so it fits ddr2 slots. then amd can make an am2 processor that supports ddr3. all they would have to do in that case is change the memory controller. maybe that is amd's counter-conroe attack.

idk, i think that would be the only thing amd could stop conroe, but currently, am2 doesnt really utilize ddr2's bandwidth.

Wasn't FB-DIMM originally invented by Intel? Haha, I wouldn't be suprised considering Intel invented so many things like PCI-Express, DDR2, BTX etc.

I do know that Intel is the first to work with FB-DIMM while AMD is barely migrating to DDR2, lol. However, I have a feeling AMD will be coming out with something big in the next few years.
