first off hello! I just purchased a computer from Dell today. I dont play games so, I was wondering if this was a good system for me and my family? thanks guys and gals

Yes, very nice. That Adobe software will be upgraded online to 7.0 automatically once internet connection is established. At least for me, it did (auto update feature of Adobe).

Hello, and welcome to the forum. The computer looks real good...the only thing I would change is to get a DVD burner instead of only a DVD reader which is listed in your specs. It shouldn't be much more $, and you may get some use out of it.

the hdd is quite small. Though ofcourse it depends on the person, some say that 100GB is impossible to fill yet I could easily fill 250GB. That 80GB will be more than enough for normal use. And if u run out of space u can always get another hdd.

And yes a dvd burner would also be good, but then again I have had a Cd burner for maybe like 1½ years and used it under 5 times.

ok upgraded to this Dual Drives: 16x DVD-ROM Drive + 16x DVD+/-RW w/dbl layer write capability

and i upgraded to this DataSafe 160GB (Includes main hard drive plus a hidden reserve hard drive)


so i should be good? right?

For someone who doesn't play games that's a great computer (although it would play a lot of games fine).
