Windows has announced they're new OS, previously codenamed Longhorn. Windows Vista is now the name of the newest not yet released OS. Vista is supposed to provide us with the best Security, performance and reliability ever.
Vista has a bundle of new features such as windows detecting a failing hard drive and prompts you to go through the back up steps. failing ram is put through a mem test after several crashs. It also has a new feature that if and when u boot up and windows fails to load, it automatically fix's itself using the startup repair tool (StR).
Vista also has built in malware detection/repairing/removing software to help witht he joys of the internet.
The beta for end users start August 6 this year
no word on 64x support (crossing fingers)
