Default New Vista related problem

In addition to my multimedia audio controller problem, I now have a new one. Sometimes when installing something or going into device manager and stuff, the screen will go blank. Sometimes it recovers and this pops up:

Other times I have to use the reset switch on my case. Can someone help me out please?

Have you done anything to your video driver recently (update, roll back, new card)?

If a new version is out, get it. If you already have the latest, try reinstalling.

I should have said this in my first post. Everything in my PC was there when I was running XP and it all worked great. I upgraded to Vista and everything went to hell. I have the latest Vista compatible driver and I think it's the only one available.

Well after some research into this I have discovered that it quite a common problem with Vista and I am pretty much screwed until ATI comes out with a fix. I might just backup to XP.
