? new video card

have decided my current video card must be the issue so I am off to buy a new oe. I currently have : ATI 9250 128mb w/ TV out. I have no idea what agp,ddr,evga DDR mean. What do i buy??

system: asus a7v8x-x,2800+,80GBhd.512 RAM,DVD.LCD monitor.

9250 isnt a great card, if you're looking for ati or nvidia tell us. i would suggest the nVidia Evga 6600GT. Standard almost, but can play all games out there, not in the best of settings but overall a good card.

how can you say the 9250 is not a good card...i bought it after upgrading from my integrated but i can play css on highest settings with 60-80 fps and hl2 witht he same fps and dod:s with the same specs...

No, not X800GTO. 6800GS is the BEST. IT's like 200 bucks or so, and it totally SWEEPS everything else in its price range; it's as good as a 6800GT.

My x800GTO 256M of DDR3 will can any 6800 besides a GT or GS. xSeries cards are ATi's nice budget response to the nVidia 6series. The xlSeries is ATi's response to the 7800GT's.

60-80fps isnt good....
100fps is really good....

The human eye can't rreally distinguish anything after 50 FPS anyways.
