Default New Upgrades

Okay my video card is getting pretty outdated (7300 GT) and I would like to upgrade to an 8800 GTS. But my thinking was that I have a monitor that only goes to max resoltion of 1280x1024, is it even worth it to buy an 8800 GTS if I can't go higher than 1280x1024. If I decide to do are these three pieces of hardware compatible or will I have problems. Links\/

I just wanted some other opinions before I decide how to upgrade my rig. Thank you.

Yeah, those will all work together. THe 8800 GTS 640 MB works great on my monitor with 1280x1024. The way I look at is is more memory for actual textrues and stuff, not for making the image fit my screen. It will be worth it.

Well I already have that motherboard in my computer and I'm not really too keen on upgrading that. Thanks for the help guys.
