The open box boards have been tested by newegg. I have bought two of them, as well as other open box items and they all worked perfectly.

I would recommend waiting until you have enough money to buy the whole system at once. Buying parts piecemeal can be problematic as prices and wants may change down the rode.

i bought that open box motherboard cause i feel like if i wait i will spend my money on other stupid crap where if i get at least something now I will be kind of committed.

It's no biggie; you've got the 30 day warranty on it. Just make sure it looks intact and everything works before the coverage expires.

I have seen quite a few people RMA open box stuff with asus. Their warranty is based off the serial number.

ahh. i get it. So i bought that Mother board.Now im all excited cause im actually starting to do this. Is it hard to actually put the whole thing together?
