So I got my new Mobo, Proc, and RAM and have a few ???'s

My ram says its in Unganged mode which im guessing is not dual channel, I have tried putting them in slots 1 and 2 (Motherboard manuals recommendation) and 1 and 3 with no change. I looked in the BIOS to see if there was a setting for dual channel mode but I cant find it.

Next ?

I Have 4 gigs of RAM, Windows Recognizes 3.25, I looked up on google and saw that it happens to everyone... is there a way to make it recognize the whole 4Gs?

I have the 810 and I was wondering if my mobo can unlock the 6mb cache

Thanks guys

For the operating system to use all four gigs it needs to be 64 bit.

I've got 8G ram running Vista 64 bit and all 8G show up in system properties.

Thanks,

Ok so I flashed my bios to the newest version which I read had ACC (and it does) I enabled It and my L3 still shows 4mb on CPU-Z I guess my proc isn't one that can be unlocked? Though all the things on CPU-Z are exactly the same as the one in the video.

And that bios also has a setting for ganged and unganged which I guess is not the same as dual-channel? atlease thats what I got from the bios command help

Ganged is when all cores get access to all RAM, (dual Channel)

Unganged is when each core gets its OWN stick of ram to work with.

Most say that unganged is better because cores can access data faster

if I have a quad core and 2 sticks does that mean I have 2 cores per stick if its unganged... my mobo also said unganged has better performance... so I guess Ill leave it at that
