Default New RAM...

I was considering getting another 1GB of RAM. I have 2 open slots. If I get two more 512 sticks, will this cause the system to lag at all? (all 4 slots would then be filled)

It would be better to just get another 1gb stick, that way if you want to upgrade one more time, you dont have to waste a 512 and take it out..And no it wont slow it down at all...But I would try to get a 1gb stick..Instead of 2 512's..

Wouldn't two 512mb sticks have better performance?

Yeah, I guess... I thought it had something to do with sharing the bandwidth between the ram sticks or something, maybe I'm just thinking wrong this morning.
