Default New to PC building, question about video card

I'm building my first computer and have a ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard. I was wondering if the PCI Express x16 interface is compatible with the PCI Express 2.0. In short if i buy this, XFX PVT88PYDE4 GeForce 8800GT Extreme 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card. Will it work in my motherboard?
Thanks!

Yes, that video card will work perfectly on your motherboard. PCIe 2.0 is backwards compatible with the earlier standards.

The 8800GT doesn't even use the whole bandwidth of the PCI-EX16 let alone PCI-E 2.0 so he'll lose no performance.
