hey all i was thinking of starting on my second Pc but instead of buying a motherboard and a case i was thinking of getting a Barebones kit but im just wondering will it be spacious enough to fit most of the Components heres the list of Components i was thinking of getting :

Q9450 - CPU
9800 GTX -Graphics
750 gb Seagate barracuda - Storage
Corsair Twinx 4gb pc6400 ram - Memory
Windows vista ultimate -Operating system.

Welcome to the forums Roger,

Whats a "Barebones kit"?

What will the PC be used 4?

What is ur budget?

well about the space problem. The Geforce 9800 GTX OC which i just bought is a MASSIVE card and does require a lot of space. A mid-tower probably won't be big enough, you'll need to go with a full size tower. So when you're buying your case, make sure you're getting a full-tower. Otherwise everything else would fit, just the video card might have some troubles squeezing in if you have a smaller case.

thanks Guys and to Answer your question zerocool a Barebones kit is a Case with a Motherboard which is all Wired up. its hard you say what it is because its Just a Box not a Tower.and i,ll be using the Pc for Gaming, thats why i had the list of High end components. and As for the Budget i want to Try and Do this for Just under 1000.

Firstly, you'll want the HD 4850 instead of the 9800GTX, it performs better and is superior in just about every way, it even costs less: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=hd+4850&x=0&y=0

I would also go for the Samsung Spinpoint F1 750GB over the Seagate. The F1 is the fastest 7200RPM drive available: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152100

well it all depends on the BB PC that you get
the one that i got had ram and a HDD and a CPU with the case mobo and PSU
so if i were you
i would get go and get all of the parts seperately
if you want a really good case
then take a good long look at the Ultra Aluminus ATX Tower
it makes installing the mobo, and an all HDDs, and optical drives too easy
and it has a clear side to show off all of the techie goodness (also known as parts)
