worshipme Golden Master Messages 5,603 Mar 26, 2008 #20 I would recommend an AM2/AM2+ motherboard so you have the possibility of upgrading to a Phenom in the future even if it means abandoning SLI support. And I agree with Cabbspapp on the 9600GT, that or the HD 3870, whichever is cheaper. And I think AMD is the best solution for a budget build. You could try the 5000+ black edition, a simple multiplier change and you can be running at 6000+ speeds: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134040 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161218 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128327 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103194 <<<< Now THAT's what I call value for money!!
