Default New nVidia card! 7800GS!

Well, today I was browsing Newegg.com for new parts, and saw that the 7800GT went down in price, about $20 or so. I wondered why. So searching a bit more showed that a new 7800 series card is out. The 7800GS. It is basically a GT only clocked down in speed and has 8 pixelpipelines less, but it still uses the 7800 series GPU, so it's a fairly sweet video card, and cheaper, to the alternative cards such as the X850 cards or the 7800 series cards. Also, the main factor here, is that it's AGP, not PCI-Express liek the other 7800 series GPUs. So it even makes it a greater alternative to those who don't want to spend another $500 just to upgrade to a different platform. Here's the specifications.

Oh, sorry I didn't knwo there was threads already on the subject. I just saw the card and was like, "GOTTA TELL CF!!!" So sorry about that.

And no, nVidia won't make a PCI-Express version. The 7800GS is made entirly for people who are still using the AGP interface.

Don't forget the 7300GS. GS just symbolizes perfoprmace. Kind of like XT, GT, GTX, XL, and so on.

Check out the new eVGA 7800GS, their OC version:

Typical eVGA...looks good but the price is steep. I rather just get a GT.
