The motherboard would most likely come with one. Its basically just your standard ribbon, but has 2 ends. One for a Slave drive, and one for Master drive. Since they are CD/DVD drives, which ever side you have each on, won't matter one bit.

Ohhh yeah i know lol, <<silly ....that woudl allow me to have both of the drives...but what about the hdd which is an UATA also??? wouldnt it need an IDE connector?

Not heard of UATA...

I'm sure convertors and that will be available. I doubt the old hardware will become irrelivant.

UATA Ultra ATA, her hdd are like my 2....hey use the IDE 1 controller with 4 pin molex power cables...then on IDE 2, i use my Burner and ROM....but all of the core 2 duo mobo's dont have 2 IDE's, so for example, my 2 hdd's would not fit anywhere in it, unless i sacrificed both of my ROMS

Sorry i know im confusing lol

You could buy an expansion card with IDE ports for ya HDD, or ya could just get a SATA HDD, i think that would be better, coz the IDE drive will slow ya system down

WEll got the parts today, and a new SATA II harddrive

got the Core 2 Duo E6400
1gb Corsair DDR-667 RAM (2X512mb)
ASUS P5PL2
320gb WD SATA II
