Well, I had a laptop dv7 - 2200, the screen wouldn't come on, tried removing, ram, and a few things.
But anyways, ended up just getting a new motherboard, hooked it up still nothing but flashing cap and num lights, which I understand is the code to what's wrong.
So I think it may be the processor chip, but I only had a older processor and wasn't sure if it even worked. So notsure if that's the problem....
Try doing afew different things.
So notsure could this be the processor not letting the screen to come on?
