Default New Monitor

Hi,Merry Christmas all
looking for a new monitor,
have about 220.00 to spend
was wondering what would be good?
also, is it better to get a monitor,
or get a hdtv and use that as a monitor, if i connected my pc
to it using a hdtv cable?
thanks
adam

Get a Samsung 2ms LCD Monitor, they are very nice.

Here's the 1 I have and works great http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001095 (It's a little over your price range but a great monitor.)

Let me know if you want me to try and find a cheaper 1, but if you were to get this monitor, you will be happy with it.
