Default new monitor

I just built a new gaming rig and want a new monitor. What do I need to look for to make sure I get a real good monitor. I know I want atleast a 19". Thanks for any help.

I posted a topic about this a while back. A lot of people will say CRT's are better for gaming but not LCD's are just as good. Just make sure you get one with a really good refresh rate. Check out my thread.

There are a few good LCDs out for gaming. It should have a response time of 8ms or less to be considered for gaming. Hyundai makes a good one. And there are a couple more with that response time. Pricey though. You can get a bigger CRT for the same money. I have the Hyundai Imagequest 19" and I paid around $350 USD. I love it though and think it was worth every penny.

Thanks for the update. it's nice when ppl come back and report. that is the first LCD monitor with a 4ms response time that i have seen . the lowest i have ever seen is 8ms.
