I just got a new mobo (DFI Nf4 Expert sli...) and a new processor (AMD Athlon X2 4400+). I am keeping everything from my previous computer except for RAM, MOBO, and Proc. I want to know if I should whipe my hard drive clean and start all over again OR if I can keep everything and somehow reconfigure.

My hardrive is NTFS partioned into 3 sections. My previous mobo is an FIC and proc is IP Northwood 2.6.

What do you guys think?

most likely u will need to reinstall windows because u are changing the mobo.
I've heard of ppl using the same windows after changing the mobo, so it can work.

I gues the only way to find out is to try.

And reinstalling windows doesn't wipe ur hdd, but u will need to install all of the programs again.

I see. But wouldnt I have to reformat or uninstall windows to reinstall it? Should I just back everything up and then start with a clean hard drive? What would be the easiest and ebst way to do this?
