Default New Laptop

Hi,

Thinking on getting a new laptop soon, is there any thet you guys can recommend for around 300-400?I'm generally looking for an all-rounder, but particularly for one with good graphics, sound and video card and RAM.

Cheers.

400=$506.76...you can get a pretty good Gateway laptop for that much, with a C2D CPU, 3GB RAM, Vista HP w/SP1, Intel X3100 graphics, which aren't the best but they are okay.

Dell laptops look good but they only get upto DDR2 667 RAM, wouldn't this bottleneck a 1066 FSB cpu?

Your BIOS will automatically tune your RAM speed to match your FSB. It's when you start overclocking that you need to worry about that 1:1 ratio changing.

Anyway, gaming is not to good on laptops unless you have bigish cash to spend.

500pound probs.
