i say about 2 hours or so.
i just got a new laptop too.
but i lag when itunes is trying to convert music, do the album art, the gapless playback, and going online.

Why wouild you ever use iTunes to convert music...it's EXTREMELY slow. I just skip the album art/gapless playback junk.
