Default new here, have lots of questions

not only new to the site, but Im also new to computers. I dont know a whole lot about them...but I have an idea of what I would like and would like your help to figure how to set it up.
I want an HTPC, all the ones Ive been able to find are real pricey. So Im going to try this on as a new hobby (coming from 4x4s) and build one.
So if some here could break it down for me what kind of minimums Ill need to run so I dont have any issues.

this is my criteria for an HTPC
-Easy to use (point, click, play)
-Internet access for streaming music/movie channels
-digital tv tuner (ntsc/atsc combo)
-BluRay/regular dvd player
-I want it to be fast and quiet
- HDMI video out too hook my tv into & a high def audio output (have seen some cards with optical outputs) to hook into my reciever.
-Dont necessarily need alot of storage, 80-160 gigs...basically only really want enough to run the system (but if im going to pay the same for 160 as 250 then the obvious states itself)

I dont game at all, I wont have any need to store much media on it. All the streaming media sites usually have whatever I need.

LOL! That's what I get for not reading it over before posting it up.
