New Harddrive

The plot thickens.. I took my HDD from my working computer put in the "non working" one and windows loaded up. I put the new one in my "good" comp and it says insert proper media, I think the problem is my OS disk. So I hooked everything back up like normal and made the new HDD a slave. When i go to "my computer" i noticed it added to two HDD's together is there anyway to seperate them so I can install windows on to the new one because the disk works while whindows is started

Hm , if they are added together sounds like a raid array to me . Look at the mobo manual and find the bit about raid and how to turn it off
