Default New graphics card choice

Was so excited to see the new medal of honor released.. until I realised my computer does not meet the minimum spec!
Currently its a 3500 (939), 2GB ram and a 6800.

So i went out and bought a Opteron 175 (939) which ill be overclocking my ram is fine. But I need a new graphics card!!

What out there that should see medal of honor airborne run fairly well in my setup? Not looking to spend huge amounts, budget 100?

Opinions?

Well the recommended graphics card is a 6600, so your 6800 should still run it fairly well, especially if you overclock it a bit. I wouldn't use an 8600GT, it's a pretty bad card.

If you need a new one for your new setup though, look at either the Radeon X1950Pro or the GeForce 8600GTS. Both around the same price. The X1950Pro is a much faster card, but doesn't support DirectX 10 as the 8600GTS does.

This factory overclocked 8600GTS might be a good option:

The X1950Pro has 256MB more VRAM than the 8600GTS though, which you'll definitely want if you're using a like a 20" or 22" monitor.

I googled airborne specs and ran a test and it came u saying graphics card failed. It is a 6800, believe this is the exact model AOpen Aeolus PCX6800Ultra-DVD256.

Ill download the demo and see if it will work with current graphics card before buying a new one then.

Looking on some british sites the 8600gt is a good price and the 8600gts is just over.. is there a big performance increase between these two?

The 8600GT is a pretty bad card. Mostly just because the x600 series cards are usually really good (like the 7600GT), but this doesn't exactly live up to the name. An 8600GT will really not be that much faster than your current 6800 in a DirectX 9 application.

Wikipedia says the requirement is a 6600GT:

well lets just assume my 6800 wont work with it (or itll run like a dog)

whats my best bet then?.. 8600GT is not good... 8600GTS is over budget. What else is out there? ATI equiv's?

i cant beleive it only needs a 6600gt to play medal of honor air borne the graphics in the game are so good............i thought the minimum requirment would be 7300gt or better.

Is that good enough? If not, then this is a good option:

Hahahaha. The 8600GTS isn't even as fast as the 7800GTX. The 8600GT is just slightly faster than the 7600GT. The 8600GT is a low end budget card for people who aren't really into gaming.
