new to this forum need help with athlon 3200

Yes i.m new to this forum.
I.m in my late 70's and i need a new pc,i know nothing about computers and parts
At a local pc shop he has a xmas promotion,this is what he has on his site'

amd athlon 64 3200+socket 939.retail
512mb ddr 400 kingston
160gig western digital,pata/100 7200 rpm,8mb
asus v9520 gfx-5200 128mb ddr,tv-out,agp8x
asus 52xq.track
asus 52/32/52xq.track
asus 100/1000 intergraded
I wisk you can let me know if this is any good or if anything should be changed.

This includes other thigs like speakers keyboard monitor which i don't need as a holl he is asking 1375 cdn. i may end up 1000 or less

It's not bad..but for 1000 you should get the speakers, mouse, and keyboard as well.

but it has no monitor, i mean you can buy all of that for like 600

seems like a good price, but you should get speakers, keyboard, and a mouse (i don't think you would get a monitor for that price). of course a keyboard, mouse, and speakers won't cost you more then $50-$60 so i would still buy it as its a preatty sweet computer
