Default new drivers

building my first comp, having problems, firstly it restarts alot for no reason, and also i am prompted to install about 15 pci host drivers pci this pci that but when i search the mobo disk nothing is found and i ahve no idea what to install. help would be greatly appreciated

also the cd dvd rw drive is only recognised as a cd drive.

Did you install the motherboard/chipset drivers from the CD?

yes, installed everything from the cd except the usb drivers because there in xp sp2

For first, the random restarts may comew from bad RAM. www.memtest86.com <- This test will confirm it. Any errors and it's bad.

Second, it looks like the board isn't recognised by Windows XP. It happens on small occasions. So, I'll be following Atomic Rooster:

Okay, I've see now. The A7V series have issuing with Windows and Linux rejects it. It could be the board with IRQ problems...or it may be not recognised upon installation.

in device manager about the mobo? and as to bad ram, do i return it or just buy new
