Hello,

I am looking into buying a new PC I have picked thos one out and I have a question on the video card/video memory. It has 224mb video memory and I am thinking of putting in a 256MB GDDR3 memory

BFG GeForce 7800 GT OC 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card would it be possible to put this in my new computer?

Gateway Media Center Desktop with Intel® Pentium® D Processor 820
Model: GT5014

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with PCI Express x16 expansion slot, DirectX 9 support, Dynamic Video Memory Technology (DVMT) 3.0 and up to 224MB video memory; Intel® High Definition Audio (7.1-channel support)

Your 224Mb is memory (RAM) It is not video memery. Yours is a shared 32MB. You can go with it. But, does it has a PCI-Express x16 interface?

It's OK to posts the links

The video card will work

224MB intergrated video memory O_O...0_0 >_<

I have one more question I have seen gfx cards PCI interface whats the difference between PCI and PCI x16 and will a PCI work with that system as well?

Thanks,

Vmontice
