http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...692&CatId=1624
they are both the same price for each ~$40 US
i cant tell if they are double layer or not

6 of the btw

next up is a sound card

its your call
just curious

and i have the same PSU that you have listed
i bought it with my BB PC kit

The card you linked to is the 4850, not the 4870.

Go with the ASUS motherboard, and if you don't want to crossfire in the future, get a P35- it's cheaper.

Also, the RAM you selected isn't worth it. DDR3 is simply not currently worth it, especially in a budget system. You can buy 4GBs of DDR2 1066 which is almost exactly as fast (note, you have to OC the RAM to 1066, but it's rated for it, so it's pretty much guaranteed to attain those speeds), why not get these?

Haha, that made me laugh. The HD 4800 series has Nvidia crapping their pants ATM.

DDR3 is not worth it because of the limitations of the FSB. The bandwidth will not increase when going above a 1:1 ratio. And since an FSB speed high enough to run DDR3 at decent speeds is unattainable, it's useless. We will see the advantages of DDR3 when Phenom or Nehalem gets it, but not until then.
