I agree with you: DDRII-1111 (PC2-8888) is plain too expensive.

I checked for Quad core and it's ready. Altec Lansing 2.1??? What's the model? We might have the same stuff.

i have those. Got them a while back.
680i isn't bad for Intel. Quite good actually, better than any other nVidia chipset that has been made for Intel. It just has too many minor problems that i would hate to deal with. And nvidia drivers are known to be slow at coming out.

Well, for optimal performence, I always stick with Intel/SIS chipsets for Intel. ATIs, I never tried, but I know they work great together soo....

haha... i hate to laugh at you lhuser knowing you're a mod and all (begs and pleads for life on forums ) but SiS has been out of the "loop" for a while for high end chipsets. They are making lower end chipsets now for the OEM computers and such.

I know they're not making high end stuff. They work preety well with lower end systems. I'd never put a SiS chipset playing BF2142.
