Default New Computer

Okay as everyone knows, Christmas time is near. For christmas, I am going to "ask for" a who new computer. But I am very undecided on the Motherboard and CPU. AMD or Intel will be fine, but I'd like it to run nice. And also, I don't think my parents would get it if it's too much money, for they think computers are SATAN. I've already got everything else I need for a good setup, just motherboard and CPU. Please post suggestions!

Well what do you do MOST? AMD's are better at office applications, games, basic home computing and what not, but Intels are slightly better multitaskers and better video editers and stuff.

Probably AMD would be best for you, and an asus mobo.

AMD kicks Intel to the curb in games. Intel competes with it in biased benchmarking programs.

I suggest AMD though. They are the budget solution as of now.

This is a very good CPU. And a Abit, MSI, or ASUS Via Mobo should be good. I like the one I am using its in my opinion the best and fastest of the three.
