Default New comp wont boot off cd (emm386.exe error)

I have a brand new comp.. just put it together and i cannot get it to boot off my windows xp disk. I keep getin the same error and ive tried multiple disks.

at first it will say...

boot from cd
verifying dmi pool data...........
1. fd 1.44mb system type-{06}
starting caldera dr-dos.....

then i get this screen- (click to enlarge)


im building this comp for my sisters birthday and i need help! thanks everyone

Is it all new parts? If you can keep the side open, what I do when I have problems like this, I unplug the HDD to force boot from the removable disc drive and then plug it back in once it boots.

its sata HDD is that ok?

nevermind.. its fixed


my nero isnt burnin bootable disks correctly. that was my problem. I put an old xp disk that i made a while ago... and it worked first try.
