New cable internet finally installed

Hello all. I'm back finally. Just got cable internet installed and OMFG, it is soooo freakishly fast. I download faster than my computer can install (depend on the application). I've been without internet for quite some time now because of install problems, but now everything is working super fast.

All I have to say is I truly recommend this setup. I've been on a friends DSL network and by far cable is much faster. I'm paying only $43 a month for unlimited access, no cap or bandwidth limitations.

how do you determine download speed? Where do you look at?
