New Build Problem

Okay my build is what you see in my signature. I put the whole thing together and hooked up a DVI cable from the HD 4870 to the monitor and powered it on. As you know this mobo does not have a vga port on it so you need the video card.

When I turned on the power I heard the harddrive rev up, fans came on and lights every where. There were 3 green lights and 3 red lights on the video card but nothing would show up on the monitor. I took the card out, unplugged the two 6 pin connectors and replugged them in making sure they were tight.

Nothing seems to be working right and I cannot figure out the problem. Is this a mobo problem or video card. I should have more then enough power for this setup. I currently have only one DVD drive hooked up and two hard drives. Thanks for any help you can give.

Take out ALL the RAM and pick one piece.
Put it into the slot closest to the CPU and then try.
If no success try it in the next slot etc.
Then try the next piece
If it works keep putting the next pieces in until you find the bad one.
If it doesn't work at all check ALL your connections, then make sure your monitor works, or is actually turned on.
Make sure the card is securely in.
Take out the BIOS battery for about a half hour and put it in.
