Default New build done but...

Ahh the build is done and running great...

but i cant get sound outve it... ive unistalled and reinstalled the drivers tried everything i can... its onboard sound so if it puts up to much of a fight ill prolly just end up buying a soundcard... unless you guys got any ideas

its Onboard Creative SoundBlaster Audigy SE... i get no sound whatsoever... from the rear audio or the front case audio... i have drivers that came with it like i said ive reinstalled with no change.

Hmm... seeing as its onboard, a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE isn't that bad...
Though, for resources, etc, it still can't beat dedicated PCI card sound.

In the BIOS (Del at bootup), have you got onboard sound activated?

Have you gone to the little speaker icon in your system tray and made sure that the sound isn't muted? If it isn't you could try a different set of speakers and see if they work, it could be your speakers. If it's soundblaster, I know they have options somewhere in the software for digital and analog, check to make sure it's not on digital. You only use the digital output if you are using the sp/dif out.

Have you installed the drivers properly - go into Device Manager and check there.

Also - did you plug in the front audio connections into the motherboard?
