New bareboes powers up. No picture

Yep. Use the gold ones.
Actually its not ASUS's fault as those are considered part of the case, but email them anyway as this seems to be pretty common. My friend's was an ECS and he didn't want to wit for me to come help him, so thats the same way it happened to him.

EDIT: be sure to only put them in the holes that line up with the holes on the mobo.

Alright. thanks for the help. Ill let you know how it turns out.

Back to the drawing board. or should I say mother board....

foothead, what does the risers do?

what does it do just keep the board from shorting out?

eh i hope he didnt short his board out. Damn... just wondering bud but how the hell have u accumulated so many post.

HEY FOOTHEAD!

THANKS ALOT !!! THAT WAS IT!

IM ON!

Thanks to everyone else who replied as well. this forum rocks!

Man, i knew i would encounter some problem on my first build. It was a way of making me take it apart and teaching me how to do it a second time in less than half the time!

Dang ASUS and the Case people for not telling us first time guys what those brass screws (now I know they are risers) are for!

You're Welcome.
That's what I'm here for.

Like I said, I wouldn't really consider it ASUS's fault.
The case manufacturer should have put it in the manual though.

Nope. The case didnt have a manual. Just a small sheet on how to hook up the audio/USB/Led/wires.

Maybe some other new guy can learn from this post!

Thanks again
