Default network usage rapidly incapacitates computer...

Hi,

I am running Windows XP on a HP DV1000 pavillion and everytime that I do something involving the wirless network (downloading or transfering files via the network) my RAM rapidly drops.

It just dropped from 360 free to 7MB free... then as soon as what I am doing is complete... it goes right back up.

I was wondering if anyone ever had this problem before or if anyone knows what I can do?

thank you!!

many coupons and phone rep-begging... it came out to about $1300... unless u talking about the HP, that was $1299 at Costco.

i know things drain RAM...but this is ridiculous... lol, as soon i start somethign i watch it drain it down to 5-7 megs... its very weird.

what u planning on getting?
