I feel like I have tried everthing...

Anyway what happened is I brought a 750GB harddrive and installed it and put Ubuntu on it. (I have a 160GB HDD with Vista Ultimate on it)

After installing Ubuntu I've had some problems with my internet on my desktop. When I diagnose this problem i found out that when it pings my DNS server (192.168.1.254) it times out. My desktop has both Wireless and Cable both neither of them seem to work.

Cable 192.168.1.133
Wireless 192.168.1.144

Ive tried ipconfig /release /renew /flushdns /registerdns none worked. flushdns gave me "Could not flush the DNS resolver Cache: Function failed during execution"
registerdns gave me Registration of the DNS records failed: The RPC server is unavailable.

Ubuntu has no luck either when I am trying to connect to my home network. I have restarted the router and modem numerous of times and I do not know what else to do.

Could anyone help me?

--Much appreciated.

Do not worry, I fixed it.

My Router (192.168.1.254) added my desktop's I.P into its blacklist (Intrusion detection or something orather) and I added an excempt and now I can access the internet just fine!

:) I am very happy
