Can someone tell me what this meens??

Wen a Network says it is a
10 Bass 5. or
10 Bass T

The 10 meens 10 Mbps and what does the T meen?? or the 5.???
Thanks

ten base 5 is a coaxial type of cable. cant think of an example of how it's used in today's networks.
ten base t is twisted pair cat5 ethernet cabling, but only transmits 10Mbit/s.

So the number 10 meens 10 Mbps and the T meens Twisted Pair cable and if it says 5. instead of 5. it meens the CAT. 5. cable??

no. 5 is the range. 10 is the 10 mbps, T means Twisted Pair, and 5 means 500 meters. 500 meters is the maximum effective length of the cable before it starts to loose packets.

btw the "base" in 10baseT means that it is used in baseband networks instead of broadband.
