All this 750W bullshit is ridiculous. Nvidia have to bump it up a bit to cover their asses in case someone is using a cheapy PSU.

Everybody I've talked to about this says that's the common assumption and it only makes sense. The problem with that is, NOBODY has been able to post a link to an article or website where an ATI or Nvidia official has said that they overrate the power supply needs. If you ever look at the power requirements for the Nvidia cards, they are very specific about how many watts and amps are needed.
