I need to buy a wireless adapter but have never used one before...can you help me find one. I don't want to psend a lot of money, it doesn't need to support high data rates, but I do want tsomething that will last at least 1 yr. Can you guys please help?

Thanks

well you would either want a wireless B (11 mbps) or a wireless g (54 mbps). I would reccomend one from dlink, linksys or belkin, those are three of the best

I've been looking at them and the ones with the USB interface looks like they are pretty easy to use...also how much would one of these cost/where should I buy one (i've been looking at newegg)

yeah look at newegg. If you are not comfortable with opening up your computer and installing a pci wireless adapter, I would reccomend the usb ones. all you do is plug them in and run the install cd, and you are up and running in less than 3 min.

Here's an example of what you can use:

LINKSYS WMP54G IEEE 802.11b/g PCI Wireless Adapter up to 54Mbps Data Rates 64/128-Bit WEP

My desktop is wired so I'm thinking of buying that model later on to go with my Linksys router.

Here's an example of a USB powered wireless adapter for desktop computers:
LINKSYS WUSB54G IEEE 802.11b/g USB 1.1/2.0 Wireless Adapter up to 54Mbps Data Rates 64/128-Bit WEP
