Default Need video card advice.

Hello, I recently upgraded the ram in my desktop to 4GB. I would like to upgrade the video card as well, but I don't know where to start. The current card is an Nvidia Geforce4 MX440 with AGP8X. I'm not sure how far I can upgrade, or what I can upgrade to. I use this computer with Google sketch up, So the more detailed the drawings get, the longer the computer takes to respond. The RAM increase helped a little, But maybe the video card needs to be updated as well to get the most out of the RAM. I've included a breakdown of my computer, to help you help me. Thanks John.

Default Re: Need video card advice.

You're system specs for that program look decent enough. Your hard drive is a bit on the small side though at only 60GB. How much available space do you have?

The video card may be holding you back. The program needs at the minimum a video card with 128MB of memory, your's has only 64MB.

Here's a nice one that will work well for you: POWERCOLOR Radeon X1650PRO 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 8X

This would do the trick too: ASUS AH3450/HTP/256M Radeon HD 3450 256MB 64-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X
